Making Memories: Our Unforgettable Year-End Staycation at CSC Loyang

From December 14 to 17, 2025, our family, relatives, and close friends gathered for a much-needed staycation at CSC @ Loyang. It was four days filled with laughter, good food, and great company—the perfect way to wrap up the year!

Day 1: Sizzling Food and Big Wins

We kicked things off on the first day with a classic BBQ session. There’s nothing quite like the smell of satay and chicken wings on the grill to get everyone in the holiday spirit.

The highlight of the night was undoubtedly our Lucky Draw event. The excitement in the air was palpable as names were called out, and the cheers from the winners (and the playful groans from those who missed out) made for a night of pure joy and bonding.

Days 2 & 3: Strikes, Spares, and High Notes

The fun didn’t stop at the BBQ pit! Over the subsequent days, we kept the energy high with some friendly competition and entertainment:

Bowling: We hit the lanes for a round of bowling. Whether we were hitting strikes or ending up in the gutter, the camaraderie was what truly mattered.

Karaoke Session: We let our inner superstars out during a marathon karaoke session. From sentimental oldies to modern hits, everyone took turns at the mic. It was a blast seeing both the kids and the elders singing their hearts out!

Reflections on a Great Stay

More than the facilities and the activities, what made this staycation special was the presence of the people we love. Having family, relatives, and dear friends all under one roof reminded us of the importance of making time for one another.

CSC Loyang provided the perfect backdrop for us to reconnect, recharge, and start the new year with full hearts.

Here’s to many more gatherings like this one!

Marking a Milestone: The Engagement of Ridhuan and Yasmeen

There are some days in life that are so significant, they become etched in your memory forever. Saturday, November 22, 2025, was one such day for our family. We were privileged to attend the engagement ceremony of our son, Muhammad Ridhuan, and his wonderful fiancée, Yasmeen, at her family’s home.

From the moment we arrived, the air was buzzing with excitement and warmth. It was a gathering filled with so much love, marking the beautiful commitment Ridhuan and Yasmeen are making to each other. The thoughtful planning and gracious hospitality of Yasmeen’s family made the entire event feel incredibly special and personal.

For us, as parents, seeing our son take this pivotal step toward building his own family is a moment of immense pride. Ridhuan has found a truly exceptional partner in Yasmeen—a young woman who is not only beautiful but also kind, intelligent, and everything we could ever wish for in a daughter-in-law.

This engagement is more than just a commitment between two individuals; it is the joyous union of two families. We are overwhelmed with happiness and are eagerly anticipating the wedding and all the wonderful moments the future holds for this beautiful couple.

May Allah bless Ridhuan and Yasmeen with a lifetime of happiness, peace, and love.

A Lovely Dinner and Exciting Futures

This past weekend, my wife and I had the pleasure of finally sitting down with the parents of our son, Muhammad Ridhuan’s girlfriend, Yasmin, for the first time. We chose Citrus restaurant for a getting-to-know-you dinner, and what a fantastic time we had!

From the moment we all sat down, the conversation flowed easily. It’s always a relief when you discover that the people who raised someone special to your child are as warm and thoughtful as they are. It’s clear why Yasmin is such a wonderful person, and it made us feel even better about the strong connection she and our son share.

The main topic, naturally, revolved around our children and their future. We had a wonderfully open and productive discussion about the next steps in their relationship. We’re all in agreement and excited for them to take things at a comfortable and sensible pace. We discussed a potential two-year engagement period, allowing them plenty of time to fully prepare, plan, and enjoy this next stage before ultimately getting married.

It was truly reassuring to find that both families share the same values and vision for their journey together. This lunch at Citrus wasn’t just a meal; it was the start of two families coming together, and we left feeling excited and optimistic for everything that lies ahead for our son and Yasmin.

Here’s to a beautiful future!
